Aramis Ramirez is a professional baseball player who is currently playing with the Chicago Cubs since 2003. His full name is Aramis Nin Ramirez and his name is pronounced as ah-RAH-mis who is commonly referred by his last name Ramirez or “A-Ram". Ramirez stands to 6'1" and weight 219 lbs. He was born on June 25, 1978 in Santo Domingo , Dominican Republic . He is a right handed player who bats and throws with his right hand. This imminent player is currently playing for the Chicago Cubs and has been a part of the team since 2003. Prior to joining cubs he was a part of the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1993. He was signed as the free agent by the Pirates in 1994 at that time he was just 16 years old. Ramirez made his debut in the major league at the age of 20 with the Pirates team. He played his debut game on May 26, 1998 . His earlier career was a struggling one as his first three seasons were full of struggle but later he showed great potential. In 2001 he managed to register a score of 34 home runs and 112 RBI with an average of .300. Injuries marked up in 2002 season. In the midseason of 2003 he was traded by the Pirates team along with the outfielder Kenny Lofton to the Chicago Cubs. The season 2004 was a good season for the Ramirez as he played extremely good in this season. He was named as the first All-star game in 2005 where he started after NL third baseman vote winner Scott Rolen pulled out of the game due to his injuries.
