New York Hotels And Night Life

New York is the largest city in the United States and it's population estimate as of 2003, was about 8.1 million, which puts it number one in the United States of AmMets Cityerica. New York city is also the second most populous city in North America, first is Mexico city. New York city has a huge population of immigrants from over one hundred and eighty countries. As of the census carried out five years ago, African Americans were at 26.6% of the population, Asians were 9.8%, American Indian and Alaska Native were at 0.5%, Hispanic/Latino were at 27%, foreign born were at 35.9% and Pacific Islander were at 0.07%. New York City is famously referred to as "the Big Apple." New York City is part of the New York Metropolitan Area, which has over twenty two million inhabitants thus making it one of the biggest urban conglomerations in the world. The New York City constitutes of five boroughs: Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx. If new York city were to be compared to any state in the US it would come in sixth. The cit serves as a huge engine for the global economy, having an estimated gross metropolitan product of close to five hundred billion as of two years ago. New York City is viewed as one of the most important cities in the world along with Paris, London and Tokyo.

Finance, fashion, publishing, radio broadcasting, communications, advertising and the arts are synonymous with New York City. The Port is considered as the best in the world and as far as the East Coast is concerned it is the largest. The United Nations are headquartered in New York City and so are Many large organizations. Traveling to the Big Apple is an awesome experience only one can go through personally. Their are numerous attractions to keep you busy while moving around the city. Some of them are the famous Empire State BMets Cityuilding, Radio City Music Hall, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Wall street, Brooklyn bridge and Times Square. If you're an avid shopper then the Big Apple won't disappoint, Fifth Avenue is one of the most famous corridors for highly priced items. Jewelry items are located on forty seventh street and for reasonably priced items then Macy's and the area around Herald Square is the place to go.

You might be a food buff, their are various places around the city catering for specific cuisines, if you are looking for Chinese food then Chinatown, Manhattan or Flushing, Queens is the place to be, Soul food would be found in Harlem, Manhattan, Indian food in Jackson Heights, Queens, Korean food would be available in Koreatown, Manhattan or Flushing, Queens, Italian Food in Arthur venue, Bronx or Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Russian food in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, South American Food can be found in Corona, Queens and not forgetting Greek Food which can be found in Astoria, Queens. As far as accommodation is concerned New York City has some of the finest hotels in the World.
