The Atlanta Braves are a Major League Baseball team based in Atlanta, who currently belongs to the Eastern Division of the National League. Atlanta city in Georgia is the home to Braves. Prior to their present location Braves were placed in Boston from 1912 to 1952 and then in Milwaukee Braves from 1953 to 1965. Before settling down to the name “Braves” in 1912, the team was known by various names as “Red Stockings”, “Doves”, "Beaneaters" and "Rustlers".
The Atlanta Braves is the oldest constantly operating baseball club in Major League Baseball. It is the only team out of twenty-eight that has fielded a team every single season Major League Baseball has been in existence. The Atlanta Braves has reached peaks and depths too, it has been in the limelight and in the shade, and it has won world championships and finished in last place. However, throughout all of these years the Braves have stayed the one consistent team in baseball. They are the team that has always been there and will always be there. Atlanta Braves are in spot light for their running record of 14 consecutive division championships from 1991 to 2005.

This is the second best record in the division championships and this is the maximum record in the professional North American sports. In the 90’s the Braves developed into one of the best team empires in all of sports, being victorious in  ten consecutive divisional pennants and winning the World Series in 1995. 1991 manifest the start of this dramatic growth to the top. The Braves became to first team in Major League history to go to the World Series after finishing with the worst record in baseball the previous season. Though the Braves have remained tremendously successful in division championships but they couldn’t prove themselves in World Series as they won only one World Series Championship and have lost four during that period. The Braves have won 16 divisional titles, 17 National League pennants, and 3 World Series championships (1914, 1957, and 1995).
The Braves roaster possessed magnificent players like Dale Murphy, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Phil Niekro, Eddie Matthews, and Warren Spahn. These players captivated hundreds of millions of fans.
